Modalities

We feature the use of Emotive Sound (and Emotive Art) utilizing Emotive Repatterning as their base. Emotive Repatterning keeps the client as the focus, with consistent progress measures built into the process. This ensures we keep the focus on what matters: your growth and well being.

Emotive Sound / Emotive Repatterning

Emotive Sound – using Emotive Repatterning is a sound process that brings people to calmness and relaxation even when talking feels difficult. It uses specific sound techniques along with live music composition to develop a deeply soothing feeling. This allows practitioners to release tension, and deepen processing while clients feel more relaxed even when approaching tension-inducing issues.

Inner Child Group Process

Inner Child Group Processing is a group modality that utilizes drama, art, music, and creative approaches to access the curious and wonder-based child within. Using cues and role play, Inner Child Groups can bring us to our younger selves to have new experiences and to find the nurturing we may have been missing.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing – EMDR is a modality developed by Francine Shapiro to process traumatic scenes while lessening the impact on the client. EMDR is used around the country for veterans, domestic and sexual abuse survivors, survivors of natural disasters, and any moments the body becomes overwhelmed with the sensory or narrative data it is receiving. EMDR has been found effective, and has a well-regarded research base.

Executive Function Coaching

First outlined in the book Driven to Distraction, Executive Function Coaching is a process to support executive functioning of both children and adults who find mental organization, motivation, and processing change difficult and frequently internally disruptive. Utilizing an emotions-centered approach, our therapists and coaches understand that real growth happens with compassion and non-judgement. We use a gentle but systematic analysis of emotional reactions that underlie a client’s dysfunctional patterns. When those reaction points can then be therapeutically processed, the weight of management can be reduced, and more coping skills can be maintained.
